True temples of shopping, French shopping malls are stormed every year by millions of visitors. Some of them, because of their gigantic size, have become cities within cities, hosting hundreds of stores. And it’s almost Black Friday!
Just a stone’s throw from the train station, the La Part Dieu shopping center is located in the heart of Lyon’s 3rd arrondissement, in one of the city’s densest and most populous districts. I really enjoyed shopping in this mall because there are plenty of stores, restaurants and supermarkets spread over the five floors, all of which are only a few minutes from downtown Lyon.
With more than 35 million visitors a year, La Part Dieu is the busiest shopping center in France outside the Paris region. At the end of 2020, the center will continue its development with the creation of a new wing and the opening of 40 additional stores. Today, La Part Dieu has 305 brands spread over 141,000 sq.m. and thousands of items to satisfy both young and old.
For me, it’s shopping heaven here! The Village is a French Outlet, which means that there are prestigious brands at up to 70% off the recommended retail price all year round, exceptional services and a unique restaurant! Just the dream! This village of brands is located 30 minutes from the center of Lyon, you can quench your thirst for shopping in a place with innovative architecture, design and vegetation and find brand nuggets at reduced prices!
In terms of catering, there is something for everyone with “Rendez Vous Bocuse Original Comptoir”, the new restaurant of the Bocuse house. A simple cuisine in a friendly and contemporary atmosphere. We like it a lot!
A unique place that I recommend is Polygone Riviera! Inspired by the worlds of Sunset Boulevard and typical Mediterranean villages, the Polygone Riviera is a unique concept that combines the worlds of fashion and premium shopping, contemporary art and entertainment, located in Cagnes-sur-Mer, not far from the Mediterranean Sea.
The shopping center is organized into four themed districts: The Palm Tree Promenade, The Arcade District, The Flavor District and The Designer Gallery.
There is a plantation of more than 1000 trees that accompanies you to the Polygone Riviera, a green setting designed by the landscape architect Jean Mus.
Maples, plane trees and palm trees protect this extensive vegetation. The Malvan river crosses this green path, for an invitation to relax.
Come and discover the boutiques of the shopping center over a distance of nearly 2 km, while enjoying a natural setting.
With 161,000 square meters of floor space, 230 stores, 50 restaurants and 9 levels, Westfield Les Quatre Temps is the largest and busiest shopping center in the Paris region and in France.
Located in the heart of the La Défense business district, just a few steps from the Grande Arche, the shopping center offers a rich and diversified shopping experience: prestigious brands, restaurants, snack bars, a movie theater, mini-golf…
Note that the center is the only one in the Paris region to host a NYX makeup brand store! Spacious, bright and easily accessible by public transport, Westfield Les Quatre Temps will delight all shopping enthusiasts.

Odysseum is one of Montpellier’s and was built in a modern and vibrant style giving it something of the feel of a Miami mall. It is not only a shopping mall, it is also a leisure center with an ice rink, planetarium and aquarium.
While the palm trees and bright colors give it a distinctly Florida feel, it continues the Greek theme started in the Antigone neighborhood a little west of Odysseum, and the Helios Theater built in an amphitheater style and offering a place to sit and relax is at the heart of the development.
Overall there are 100 different stores and a hypermarket in the shopping center, there is something for everyone.
