Cassis is a beautiful little port town, nestled in the shelter of the cliffs and creeks of Marseille, it will forever mark the eyes of those who discover for the first time its colorful port, its narrow streets filled with fountains, markets, Provencal stores, its welcoming terraces, its pretty hotels. This summer, I was there for the day, and frankly I enjoyed myself!

This pebble beach of about 150 meters long also offers a magnificent view of the Cap Canaille. This beach is a great option for those who want to tan in style. You can see from the beach, a luxurious villa!
This beach is located on the other side of Cassis, before the village gives way to the cliffs of Cap Canaille, you will find the Arena beach which is well developed. It’s less frequented than the other beaches of the city of Cassis, but it is also wilder and more beautiful. It’s the ideal place to escape from the crowd.
The Calanques National Park stretches from Marseille to Cassis and is home to some of the most beautiful scenery and hiking opportunities. I recommend that you do all three calanques. The scenery is breathtaking! This day hike will take you past Port Miou, to the beach at Port Pin and to the Calanque d’En Vau before leading you inland back to Cassis.
This is an incredible walk that is best reserved for the shoulder seasons as the trail is often restricted or even closed in summer due to the risk of forest fires. I strongly recommend that you bring a good pair of sneakers, a cap and a bottle of water.
Culminating at 394 meters, this sovereign massif is one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Louis XIV even said that it was the most beautiful cliff in his kingdom! From the sea, the colorful alternation of sedimentary layers of limestone, sandstone and pudding is revealed.
There is a panoramic road called the Route des Crêtes that has been crisscrossing the peaks of the Soubeyranes cliffs since the 1960s. They offer several spectacular views over the bays of Cassis and La Ciotat, up to Cap Sicié, as well as over the maritime horizon.
The castle of Cassis is an ancient fortress of the Carolingian Empire from the VIIIᵉ century. It’s now a private hotel and not open to the public.
This luxury hotel has an idyllic beachfront location, its art deco inspired decor and luxurious spa, it’s the place to go when you want to treat yourself! I went there for a spa with some friends, and honestly, it was just a dream. An assured disconnection!
