The Gorges du Verdon are one of the most popular destinations in France. They extend over nearly 100 km and offer many activities. The largest canyon in Europe, between the communes of Castellane and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, offers majestic landscapes.

The lake of Castillon shines with its emerald blue color. Surrounded by mountains, it is a true haven of peace! Irresistible because of its turquoise waters, easily accessible thanks to its large and supervised beaches, the lake of Castillon is the ideal place to spend beautiful summer days. Swimming, sailing, navigation, water-skiing can be practiced at the foot of the Verdon mountains.
The lake of Sainte-Croix extends over an area of 2200 hectares (10 kilometers long and 2 wide). The dam, built at the entrance to the gorge near Baudinard, holds 760 million cubic meters of water and produces over 150 million kWh per year. It is also a major tourist attraction, and offers a privileged space for swimming, boating (electric only), pedal-boating or canoeing, but also sailing. The color of the water makes it particularly pleasant to contemplate.
It’s a magnificent site of the Verdon gorges surrounded by cliffs, the lake of Esparron is also an artificial lake. To discover the lake, you can either take the path of the canal guard which runs along it, or do a nautical activity… or both for the determined ones!
The famous plateau of Valensole is very close to the regional natural park of Verdon! You will not have any difficulty to find lavender fields. In particular, between Moustiers-Sainte-Marie and the lake of Esparron, there are plenty of them along the road. A marvel for the eyes, provided that you are there during the flowering period, between the end of June and the beginning of August.
