France is full of beautiful places to explore with your lover for Valentine’s Day but also all year long. France is the country of romance and love. |
Gordes is a hilltop village located in the Provence region. This village, inspiring for the artists, offers a splendid patrimony with its castle of the Renaissance as well as the Abbey of Sénanque.
The surroundings are wonderful with the glowing colors of the ochre mines around the beautiful village of Roussillon. The «little Provencal Colorado» of Rustrel will amaze you but all the villages are picturesque and extremely charming! We especially recommend exploring the small villages of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Lacoste or Ménerbes.
Don’t hesitate to read the article on our blog about the best places in France in November. The perched villages of the south are part of it! |
The lavender plateau surrounds the village of Valensole and encompasses the smell of these violet plants. This scenery has become famous thanks to these postcards. It is very pleasant to walk through the lavender fields at sunset.
Stroll along the charming alleys of the historical center or spend some relaxing time in a typical French café!
A little advice: go to the top of the castle of Allemagne-en-Provence for a magnificent view of the fields of the mauve flower.

In any season Annecy remains the most romantic city after the capital.
It is also called the “Venice of the Alps” and without hesitation the romantic city by excellence. The city is just magnificent, it is crossed by different rivers, it has a historical center overhung by a castle, a bridge dedicated to lovers (and yes as in Paris!) and a magnificent view of the crystal clear waters of the purest lake in Europe!
The activities are numerous: strolls along the lake, cruise on a boat hikes on the Mont Baron, walks in the alleys of the old town.
Don’t miss the Savoyard gastronomy like the reblochon, the raclette or the Génépi liqueur!

We don’t particularly think of the great wines of Burgundy for a romantic trip to France, but the region is full of ideas for pleasant activities for couples.
The village of Meursault is ideally located on the road of the Grands Crus of Burgundy. Walk through the vineyard and enjoy glass of great vintage Grand Cru wine You can also enjoy walks thru the rich architectural and religious heritage that is very characteristic of the region.
The trip My France team knows some wonderful addresses in the vineyard, do not hesitate to contact them for more information. |
The Basque Country is a haven for lovers during a weekend.
The panorama on the ocean is just splendid and the city offers the popular Basque charm. The city, with its strong culture, is ideal for a shopping spree in the artisanal stores, in the cafés or for a stroll along the wild coast.
The main thing is to taste the regional dishes such as the Espelette pepper, the Basque cake, the hake koskera or the macaroon of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. |
Corsica is a beautiful destination and is one of the most romantic settings in France. The city of Bonifacio is located at the tip of the island and will captivate you with the cliffs so characteristic of the region and with the vestiges of its historical center.
The natural setting will give rhythm to jet ski rides and boat excursions on the crystal clear waters. The long sandy beaches and the unforgettable landscapes of the surroundings will be the occasion to enjoy well-deserved moments of relaxation.
