” When you’re on travel, the best is to get lost… when you do that, the surprises replace your projects and it’s from that moment only that the trip really begins…” L’usage du Monde / The use of the World – Nicolas Bouvier

I was born in Perpignan, close to the famous Eastern Pyrénées Mountains, and I’ve spent the first 30 years of my life in Southern France, before “coming up” to Lyon, where I’ve worked for an outgoing tour operator for 15 years. That allowed me to travel in more than 30 countries around the world…before I join Trip My France, and realized that my own country was undoubtedly the most beautiful destination to live in and to visit!

Now I explore and (re) discover my own country with my wife and 2 teenaged boys and I know a couple of things upon how to make a family trip a wonderful moment!

My most memorable travel experience: the encounter with mountain gorillas in Rwanda’s Parc National des Volcans.

My favorite spot in France: being an outdoor and trail running addict, I love all the mountainous places. Maybe my favorite one is Corsica, where the mountains meet the sea. This is a magical island where you can easily escape from the crowdy beaches and explore an unspoilt nature.

My favorite hotel in France: the Château des Grotteaux in Loire Valley, close to the monumental castle of Chambord. Les Grotteaux is a family owned 17th C. restored château. The perfect mix of luxury and tradition where you’re welcome by lovely hosts.
